Inter Cultural Learning Program at MITK MITK

An "Inter Cultural Learning" Program in association with Field Service and Inter Cultural Learning (FSL- India) Team was organised on 8-09-2022 along with Students from Germany at MITK. The program was conducted to get the students acquainted to understand and bridge the cultural gap between India and German. A Presentation on the Cultural differences was presented by both the teams along with a Quiz on Germany and India. Mr. Siddhartha J. Shetty, President of MIT Kundapura, congratulated the Germany students and President of FSL India Mr. Rakesh Sons and his team for their social work and discussed the differences and harmonies between the countries.

We have invited a great personality "Mr. Jayaprakash Rao, Former Chief PRO, ADA and Regional PRO, DRDO (South), Ministry of Defence, Govt. of India, New Delhi" to give a Guest Lecture on "Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam’s Mission and Vision India" on 26-08-2022 to our institution. The program was inaugurated by the guests by lighting the lamp. Mr. Jayaprakash Rao, explained in detail about Abdul Kalam’s path and advised students to involve themselves into new innovations in science and technology and thereby contribute to the development of India.

MIT College Kundapura in collaboration with Team Spoorthy organised a "Career Guidance Workshop" for Engineering Students on 20-08-2022. This Workshop on Personality Development was conducted in the presence of Mr. Rajesh S P, System Software Architect Intel Technology, India, Mr. Yogesh M E, Tactical Product Manager, ROHM Semiconductor, Mr. Adarsh Hedagarahalli Shivappa, Technical Staff, AMD, India, Dilip Kumar, Recruiter, VMware, India, KP Omkara Murthy, Reporter, Prajavani, Chitradurga. As a part of the personality development of the student, he gave some information needed for the prosperity of students' life and made them aware about the vigilance that should be taken in the competitive student life. MITK always encouraged students by giving more information about their career and job opportunities. Team Spoorthy said that they will always cooperate with Moodlekatte Institute of Technology to train the students.

Workshop on Intellectual Property Rights

Workshop on Intellectual Property Rights MITK

As a part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, an awareness program on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) was organized under the National Intellectual Property Awareness Mission (NIPAM) on 2-08-2022 with MIT Kundapura. Mr. Sai Vaibhav, Examiner of Patents and Designs, Patent Office, Chennai, was the resource person. There are many types of intellectual property like copyrights, patents, trademarks, and trade secrets being the most well-known types. Apart from explaining the importance of these in detail, he also gave more information about its safety. At the end of the seminar, the students were tested on their learning ability by conducting a quiz.

Project entitled “IMPROVEMENTS OF INTERSECTION AT SHASHTRI CIRCLE, KUNDAPURA” was carried out by Pradeep JC, Praveen, Santhosh, Dhananjay under the guidance of Mr. Prashantha Hegde, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Civil Engineering, MIT Kundapura. Intersection is one of the most important components of urban roads, and traffic flow. When the vehicle passes through the intersection due to the need for traffic flow route conversion, the driver can slow down, change lanes and its directions. This process must be completed at the intersection and its neighbouring area. Therefore, a number of traffic conflict points are formed at the intersection and its adjacent area, and the intersection between traffic flows in different directions, Traffic conflicts such as merger and direction change occur. Good design of intersections ensures safe and efficient operation of the entire road network. Based on the analysis of the serious causes of urban traffic problems, the importance of intersections in improving road traffic capacity, traffic jams and accidents is analysed. Traffic rotary at road intersection is special form of change of lanes to channelize movement of vehicles in one direction around a central traffic island. The vehicles entering the rotary are gently forced to move in a clockwise direction.

Project entitled “PRODUCTION OF MYCELIUM BRICK” was carried out by Rashmitha, Sandesh, Yathiraj under the guidance of Mr. Nithin D’Souza, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Civil Engineering, MIT Kundapura. The main objective of the investigation is to obtain an eco-friendly and a sustainable building material made up of mycelium which develop, assemble and repair itself. Changes with the season, utilizes the power of nature and is in agreement with its condition. Favours biodiversity and regular harmony, minimal effort and does not require impressive workforce or modern material, carbon free and waste free comes back to nature when never again being used empowers maintainable and adjusted humanity advancement. The utilization of living design to diminish or invalidate the natural expenses of structure materials.
